Coldingham Bay with its sandy beach is about a mile away from St. Margaret's and St Abb's Nature Reserve famous for its bird life and cliff scenery is 1.4 miles away. There are coastal walks, diving and boating. Berwick-on-Tweed is 12 miles. The picturesque Border scenery and its small towns are close by as is the River Tweed with its world famous salmon fishing. Trout fishing is available just up the road at Coldingham Loch. Edinburgh, with all its attractions, is only one hour away by car. There are a number of golf courses nearby. The dramatic Bamburgh Castle is less than an hours drive away and can easily be combined with a trip to the Farne Islands, owned by the National Trust and one of Britains most important seabird sanctuaries.
